The history of the opening of Kong Djie Coffee Shop was motivated by the poverty factor due to the Japanese colonialism.

This family then tried to survive with makeshift cash.

They used the money to build a business, bought coffee and sugar, and then opened their first coffee shop at Buluh Tumbang area.

The coffee was liked by many people and was able to keep many visitors coming.

The coffee at Kong Djie Coffee Shop is very strong with its distinctive taste.

It made from selected coffee beans such as Lampung Robusta coffee combine with Arabica cofee from Java.

Usually, the composition used is around 70 percent of robusta and 30 percent of arabica.

As a result, the taste that appears is quite strong on the tongue, the aroma and sourness of Arabica coffee seem to remind the taste of Sanger, Arabica coffee in Aceh.

To make the coffee at this coffee shop is quite simple. It only need a large kettle.

The kettle is what will be the place to make coffee essence.

When the water boils, the water is immediately put in with one kilogram of coffee.

A cloth filter is attached to the lid of the kettle to prevent the powder from being carried away.

This coffee essence is poured into each glass which is then brewed again with boiling water.
